CoupéJune 1974 - Ford Motor Company release the stylish Granada Ghia Coupé in the U.K.
"Italian design skill has long been recognised in many fields - none more so than in car styling and design
where Italian studios have been prominent. Now, one of the most famous Italian designers, Ghia of Turin, has
joined forces with Ford to give the best of both possible worlds; the welding of Italian flair in styling
and design craftsmanship to Ford's unrivalled skill in engineering and production.
The latest model to come from this union is the luxurious Ford Granada Ghia Coupé, combining an exiting
fastback shape with the sumptuous interior furnishing and full four seater roominess of an elegant luxury saloon.
Viewed from any angle, the Ford Granada Ghia Coupé is a beautiful car. Low, sleek and streamlined, it
clings to the road, taking you smoothly through tight town turnings and out onto the open highway. There, the
powerful three litre and lavish interior of the Ghia Coupé will ease the strain from even the longest
motorway journeys.
Good ventilation, so essential to safe motoring, is via face level eyeball type vents and incorporates an
ambient air feature which allows the selection of warm or cool air to suit conditions.
The positive rack and pinion steering is power assisted and the bump absorbing suspension, independent on all
four wheels. The Ford automatic transmission is standard. And, if your effortless progress has to be brought to
a sudden stop - then the ventilated front disc brakes and rear drums in a dual line system are reassuringly
quick to do it - safely.
From its broad concept of spacious opulence down to even the smallest detail, the Ghia Coupé represents
the ultimate in stylish design. "
